Twelve-Movement Tai Chi for Arthritis program was developed by Dr Paul Lam. Dr Lam is a Family Physician and Tai Chi teacher in Sydney. He developed the program after he himself was experiencing signs of osteoarthritis. After participating in Tai Chi for many years Dr Lam decided he wanted to share his experience of the benefits of Tai Chi with other people with Arthritis. He worked with a group of Tai Chi and Medical experts and developed the Twelve-Movement Arthritis program.
Many Arthritis Foundations and organisations support this program around the world, including Australia, USA, UK, Hong Kong, Norway and others.
10 week program will cover
Warm Up exercises
12 Movements (learnt gradually over the 10 weeks)
Cool down exercises
Variations for supported and seated participation
At the end of the program most participants should be able to work independently at home, however classes will still be held for those who enjoy the group environment and wish to continually improve their Tai Chi.
