Lifestyle Challenge

The Active 50’s Lifestyle Challenge is aimed at helping you improve major areas of your heath and wellbeing. While your weight, body fat and measurements will be monitored; the idea is to help improve your overall quality of life and well being. We are here to provide the supervision, the education and the motivation to help you achieve these improvements. Also, being part of a team not only makes it fun, but keeps you honest as you are accountable not only to yourself, but to your team. Here is an outline.

* All participants are placed into one of 3 teams with Mal, Nadine and Stewart as team captains.

* The 3 teams will be competing against each other (for fun, not sheep stations!) based on combined team weight loss. Being part of a team not only lends support, but it makes you responsible not only to yourself, but to your team mates!

* It is a lifestyle challenge, not just a weight loss challenge. The idea is to help educate and motivate you to make sensible, sustainable changes to your lifestyle.

*Each participant will be given a starter pack, which includes a training and eating diary, a weigh and measure record sheet and be issued relevant information handouts each week.

* Each participant will have a weigh-in and chat with their respective team leader once a week to help keep you focussed (and honest!)

* Your once-a-week weigh-in can be arranged to what time suits you, but you must weigh in every week.

* Girth measurements will be taken at the start, at one month and at the finish. These are optional, but will tell us more about how your shape is changing.

The Lifestyle Challenge is run twice a year; from October to December( getting you ready for Christmas) and February to April( getting you OVER Christmas!!)and runs for 9 weeks. So far, participants have acheived some fantastic results in weight loss, fitness and general wellbeing and more importantly, have gained the knowledge and ability to sustain their improvements.

... so, what do you have to lose?
